Configuring the Option GlobeSurfer for Internet access
Insert your 3G-enabled SIM card correctly into the side of the unit.
Connect the Ethernet port to a PC or laptop using the crossover cable provided.
Power on the unit.
Wait for a few seconds while the unit boots and registers on the cellular network.
On the PC, launch an Internet browser and browse to the default IP address for the unit (http://192.168.1.1/)
If this is the first time you are connecting to the unit, the following window will be displayed:

Select your desired language and click OK. The following window will be displayed:

Enter your desired administrator username and password and click OK. The following window will be displayed:

Enter the Access Point Name (APN) for your cellular service provider:
Vodafone internet
Orange orangeinternet
O2 mobile.o2.co.uk
T-Mobile general.t-mobile.uk
Specify whether you wish to enable the wireless LAN functionality and enter the name which will be presented to wireless clients.
Click OK, and then OK again on the next screen to confirm. The following window will be displayed:

Click on the Network Connections icon in the left-hand menu. The following window will be displayed:


Click on the option to Edit the WAN UMTS connection, the following window will be displayed:

Click on the Settings button. The following window will be displayed:

In the PPP authentication section, enter the username and password for your cellular service provider:
Vodafone “web” for both
Orange leave blank
O2 “web” for both
T-Mobile leave blank
Tick all four authentication options.
Click OK, and then OK again to confirm. The following window will be displayed:

To initiate the Internet connection, click the Connect button.
