Hi,

 I've had the TyTN II for a couple of days and I've got TomTom working fine. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the GPS and do anything with it unless you go via TomTom. Is there a way to enable/disable the GPS and check signal strength etc. without using TomTom?

I dont have a device in front of me at present. But i beleive there is an area in programs where you can look at the GPS status and see how many satellites it is connected to the unit should also give you your global position.

unfortunately in the Programs section there's only a QuickGPS facility and that doesn't show you anything about the GPS status or permit you to switch it on/off. There really doesn't seem to be anywhere that you can directly access the GPS hardware on the TyTN II................
