Hello i'm trying to use the TV out function with the yellow RGB connector the output appears in colour but not when using S-Video is there any reason for this? Is this a HTC bug or is there any way I can adjust the settings for the ATI graphics card?

 

I would suggest this maybe due to your TV setup rather than the device itself. Most TV's have two setting for S-Video and dependent on your TV the AV input either needs to be set up for composite in or Super VHS, if the S-video settings on AV channels are setup up wrong this usually leads to black and white picture.
