HTC Touch Cruise on the Orange network?

Hi, is anybody out there in the know? Will Orange in the UK be adding the Touch Cruise to their Range? They do now have a couple of HTC's in their range including the Touch something or other but not the Cruise. Can anyone help.

The SIM-free unlocked and factory standard Touch Cruise is due in to us around 18th Jan 2008, a week awaym which of course is what we sell on Devicewire via the link above

Therefore, if Orange plan to do it, you could look around to preorder in March/April if you want their version instead.

    Regards

It's nothing personal to you guys it's just i can't afford to buy a handset and then pay the phone bills on top with Orange i should get it free and then pay the line rental. Apart from that i'd much prefer the Devicewire version without all the crap that Orange stick on there to waste valuable memory. Just out of interest the people that buy the handset from you, how does that work? Do they just stick an existing contract sim or pay as you go sim and away they go?

How different would the Factory standard unit be from a say Orange or o2 version, as it is my SPV M700 is so full of rubbish i can barely do anything without getting a memory full warning coming and then not knowing what i can delete/remove and what it'll let me.

Re: HTC Touch Cruise on the Orange network?

I know exactly what you mean. The Networks subsidise their phones by £50 to £400 depending on tariff purchased, locking you into 12, 18 or 24 contracts to reclaim that cash back over time.

But, they don't give you any money off when you *don't* want a phone from them. Most unfair.

Yes, all our customers buy the handsets and then add a contract or pay-as-you-go SIM card from any Network.

Until Orange release their stacked version of the phone, if they take it on at all, then you will not know how much they have hobbled it. Most of their Extras are installed from the extended ROM and therefore are not generally removable, but most modern handsets will let you install programs to the Micro/Mini SD card slot, so adding a 1 to 2Gb card for very little money should allow you a little headroom.

Bear in mind this is all up to Orange, not us here at Devicewire, we sell the pure product.

I hope they do a good job on it and you are happy when you get it. If you cannot buy it SIM free from us then hopefully we will have your custom for accessories and memory cards etc instead.

    Best Wishes.
