    Setting up the Option GlobeSurfer Icon 7.2 for Internet access on Windows XP

    Installing the Option GlobeSurfer Icon 7.2 USB 3G Modem on Windows XP

     

    Insert your SIM card into the modem.

    Connect the device to a USB port on your computer.

    Windows will detect the new hardware automatically and install a USB Mass Storage Device.

    Once the mass storage device has been installed, the installation wizard for the 3G modem will launch automatically.

    The wizard will install the necessary drivers and software for the modem automatically.

    Once the installation has completed, the following window will be displayed:

     

     

    Click the Finish button, the Globetrotter Connect application will be displayed:

     

     

    Enter the relevant User Name, Password and APN details for your service provider:

     

    Vodafone

     

    APN            internet

    Username   web

    Password    web

     

    Orange

     

    APN            orangeinernet

    Username    leave blank

    Password     leave blank

     

    O2

     

    APN             mobile.o2.co.uk

    Username     web

    Password     web

     

    T-Mobile

     

    APN            general.t-mobile.uk

    Username    leave blank

    Password     leave blank

     

    Three

     

    APN            three.co.uk

    Username    leave blank

    Password     leave blank

     

     

    Click the Save button, then Connect to initiate the Internet connection.

     

    Should the GlobeTrotter Connect software not be displayed automatically, double click the icon on the desktop. Or, alternately, locate the icon for GlobeTrotter Connect in the system tray:

     

     

    Right click on the icon and select Open GlobeTrotter Connect
